ENSOC has a proud history of creating the biggest and best social events on campus – something which is epitomised by the sheer number of large scale events that we run each and every year. No other club provides such a wide range of different events for such affordable prices, and with the guarantee of great times. A brief rundown of our different events can be found below:
FOUR LEGENDARY BBQS
ENSOC holds FOUR mammoth BBQs during the year – one each term. These BBQ’s are guaranteed good times – and with an average of over 1000 people attending each one in 2010, you can be sure that the combination of the amber gold, great music and free food will keep you entertained.
Hokitika Wild Foods
ENSOC takes four bus loads of students over to the Wild Foods Festival each year. After an epic bus ride, it‘s time to try the local cuisine, followed by campfires along the beach and continued festivities.
Fresher Field Trip
The Freshers all jump on a bus and get taken to a secret location where they are treated to mass amounts of fun and games. Dress up in theme and win cool prizes! A great way to meet fellow Freshers, and one of the best nights of the year!
Bak2Skool Pub Crawl
Let your hair down, put on the old school uniform, and hit some of the finer drinking establishments Christchurch has to offer on the infamous Bak2Skool pub crawl. This event never fails to deliver!
The Annual Ball
ENSOC hosts the largest ball in the Southern Hemisphere. It will blow your mind with over 1000 people attending and MJ’ing it on the D-floor. Along with an endless bar tab, the ball will have a buffet dinner fit for a king and not one, but two whole levels of dance floor cranking top class music all night long.
